What do I learn on a course like this?

The standards of achievement at Basic Arctic Survival level require demonstration of knowledge of;

• Suitable clothing / equipment
• The ability to travel competently
• Basic navigation techniques
• Identify and utilise the changing terrain
• Techniques in finding and/or building shelter
• Establishing a camp
• What to look for when finding food
• Water collection
• Creating fire
• The fundamentals and personal administration required for surviving in a harsh environment.
